The 2-in-1 magnetic holder is a reusable tool for installing metal structures for drywall systems. It temporarily holds the CD 60 / PP 60×27 profile on suspension brackets, helps align the profile with a laser line, and allows faster final fixing with self-tapping screws.
In addition, the tool can be used as a spacer template to repeat the same distance between rows of profiles.
How it works
The holder is installed under the profile. The metal suspension bracket passes through the dedicated areas of the body, while the side screws temporarily hold the bracket in the working position.
After alignment, the profile is fixed to the suspension bracket with self-tapping screws, and the holder is removed and used again.
The body has markings for the laser line. The installer sets the laser and aligns the holders using the same marking. This helps bring several points of the same profile into the same plane faster and reduces repeated measurements.
Production and material
The body is manufactured using additive manufacturing (3D printing) from PETG — a technical thermoplastic with good impact resistance and dimensional stability.
The material is not brittle, withstands repeated use, and handles the normal loads encountered on a construction site. Additive manufacturing makes it possible to achieve precise geometry for the clamping areas on the suspension bracket and profile, while also allowing the design to be quickly adjusted based on real feedback from installers.
The product is manufactured in Moldova in NEQUIID’s own 3D printer farm, which allows direct quality control of each batch and short production lead times.
Two ways to use
Temporary fixing on suspension bracket
The suspension bracket is inserted into the holder body, the profile is aligned with the laser line, and then the bracket is fixed to the profile with self-tapping screws.
The holder does not replace suspension brackets, screws, or standard installation. Its purpose is to speed up profile positioning and make the process more convenient.
Spacer template
For this mode, two holders and a piece of CD 60 / PP 60×27 profile of the required length are needed.
The side magnets attach to the already installed profile and help keep the template in the working position.
How many pieces are needed
The product is sold individually. The required quantity depends on the way it is used:
- 1 pc. — can be used as a holder and moved from one suspension bracket to another. Installation is possible, but slower.
- According to the number of suspension brackets on one profile — the optimal option for one profile. The profile is aligned with the laser line at several points and fixed faster with screws.
- Minimum 2 pcs. + a piece of profile — for use as a spacer template.
- 3–4 pcs. or more — recommended for professional installation, depending on the profile length, the number of suspension brackets, and the frame layout.
